1. Encourage Family Time

When you build a pool, you're actually creating a fun and relaxing space for your children and family to spend time together, without ever leaving the backyard! You'll make lasting memories as you teach your kids to swim, play with them in the pool, and barbque by the water.

2. Create An Outdoor Resort At Home

A well-designed swimming pool isn't just a bunch of water. It can turn your backyard into an elegant outdoor oasis. With waterfalls, vanishing edges and other unique amenities, a pool can serve as a relaxing and inviting centerpiece right in your own backyard.

3. Throw A Party
When warm afternoons and cool summer evenings roll around, a pool is a great way to entertain. Invite your friends and neighbors over for a poolside bar-b-que or a dip in the water.

4. Stay Healthy And Lose Weight
Instead of driving to the gym, you can spend time exercising in your own pool. Research shows that swimming provides a better total body workout with a low risk of injury. It also helps you to lose weight faster.

5. Unwind And Relax

When you get home from a long day at work or need to escape the busyness of life, take a quick dip in your pool to unwind. Spending time in the water helps your body relax and get rid of stress. You'll also sleep better than you ever have before.

6. Increase The Value of Your Home
Recent studies show that owning a pool increases the value of your home by as much as 15%. It also makes your property more attractive to prospective homebuyers. If it comes time to move, owning a pool may be the difference between selling your home quickly or keeping it on the market.

7. Stay Cool
Instead of hiding out indoors by the air conditioning, you can beat the summer heat by lounging in the cool waters of your own pool.

8. Keep An Eye On Your Kids
With a swimming pool in your backyard, you can give your kids and their friends a place to play that is both convenient and safe. You can also rest easy knowing that your children are close by.

9. Save Some Money
A pool is easier to finance and maintain than most people think. And in the long run, pools are less expensive than big family vacations and other entertainment options - and they last longer.

10. Long Lasting Fun
Building a pool is a great investment that will reap rewards for a lifetime. A vacation, a movie, or a visit to a theme park will all come to an end, but a pool will be enjoyed by your friends and family for years to come.

1. "I can't afford a pool."

Owning a pool is probably a lot easier than you think. There are many reasonably priced options for putting a pool in your backyard. The type of pool, materials, accessories, and landscaping you choose will influence the cost of the project. You should also remember that your pool will help reduce other expenses, such as the cost of vacations away from home, membership dues to community pools and other recreational activities.

2. "My yard will be ruined for a year and workmen will be around all the time."
An accurate understanding of the building process will help you develop realistic expectations for the completion of your pool. Many pools are completed in just a few months. But obviously, unforeseen factors such as the weather or permit delays can affect the building process. A good builder will communicate any changes in the project schedule to you as soon as possible.

3. "It takes too much time and effort to maintain a pool."

You can always hire a professional to do the job, but with today's cost-effective technology you can get the same great results in very little time. In fact, maintaining a pool is easier than maintaining your car or your lawn!

4. "My electric bill will significantly go up if I own a pool."
Utility bills vary depending on where you live and who your provider is. The elcetical consuption is very low, specially when compared to the money you'd otherwise spend on entertainment, vacations, and trips to the community pool, including the expense of gasoline, food, and concessions.

5. "I'm afraid of the risk of accidents and drowning occurring at my pool."
While attentive adult supervision is the best way to maintain a safe pool, fences, pool covers, gates and pool alarms offer additional layers of protection to enhance safety. Some experts believe that having a pool actually saves untold lives because children who learn to swim at a very early age are less likely to drown in an emergency situation later in life.

6. "Pools require constant repair."
You should research a builder's work and ask questions about the longevity of the pool types they are considering. Proper cleaning and maintenance prevent the need for unscheduled refurbishing, and some companies may even offer a lifetime guarantee for pools they install.

7. "I'm afraid of getting taken by a dishonest pool builder."
Like with any building project, you should always check a builder's professional credentials, ask for references and view samples of complete work.

8. "A pool is a big investment and I'm afraid that financing will be really difficult."

Homeowners can finance a pool with a long term mortgage. Additionally, pool builders who offer in store financing have industry experience and can explain financing options, loan terms and current interest rates to help you find a manageable monthly payment plan.

9. "I've heard that pools detract from the appeal of a home in the real estate market instead of adding to it."
Not true. Banks and other financial lenders often look favorably upon swimming pool financing, considering it a "home improvement" that will increase both the current and resale value of the home.

1. " How should I select my pool builder?"

During the selection of your pool builder, certify the following elements:
- How do I select the right pool builder?
- Will a pool increase the value of my home?
- What about warranties? Is my investment well-protected?
- I’ve heard that having a swimming pool can be a lot of work. How much work is involved in owning and caring for a swimming pool?
- I sometimes see advertisements promising pools at very low prices. Should I consider this option?
- Why do cost estimates vary so much when the pools seem to be the same?
- What factors affect the cost of my swimming pool?
- Is financing readily available for this type of project?
- Should I consider building my own pool as a homeowner?
- How should I decide on the design of my pool?
- I have a small and difficult yard to work with. Can I still have a pool?
- Are there any additional options available to add to my pool?
- Do pools contribute to the drought?

1. How do I select the right pool builder?
Make sure to interview your prospective builder very carefully. Here are a few things to consider.
What is the company’s reputation in the community?
Do you know a friend or neighbor who has used the same company with good results? If not, can the company provide you with dozens of reliable references or customer report cards?
How does the company treat you as a potential customer?
How long has the company been in business, and how long have they been building in your area?
How many pools have they built?
Will the company provide you with a clear written estimate so that you’re not confused about what work will be done?
Will they finish the project on time?
Is the company in good standing with your local Building Department, the State Department of Consumer Affairs and/or Contractor's Board?
Will the company add hidden charges after the construction process has begun?
Is the company financially stable so that there is no risk that you’ll be left with an unfinished pool if they go out of business?
Will the company be careful to remove or take care of landscaping and other outdoor structures?
Will they keep your property clean and safe throughout the construction process?
Aside from winning hundreds of awards for beautiful and innovative custom pools, AQUALUX is also well known within the industry for offering unparalleled customer service. From helping you understand all of the design options, to clearly communicating what you can expect during the construction process, we make sure that you are well informed during each phase of the project. And as one of the leading pool builders in the country, we set the standard as the industry leader. In fact, 98% of all our projects are finished on time and within budget!

2. Will a pool increase the value of my home?
Yes. Most studies show that a pool will increase the value of your home anywhere between 7% and 15%, depending on where your house is located. It will also continue to increase in value throughout the years, just like you home.

3. What about warranties? Is my investment well-protected?
Warranties are very important. At AQUALUX, we provide you with the strongest guarantee in the swimming pool industry. We are confident in the product we build and we offer a warranty that backs it up. You should always ask for and compare the warranties when requesting estimates from builders. You should also remember that a warranty is only as good as the company that issues it. Dozens of pool builders go out of business each year. And if they’re gone, so is your warranty.

4. I've heard that having a swimming pool can be a lot of work. How much work is involved in owning and caring for a swimming pool?
In the past, pool maintenance was more of a chore. But with today's technology and conveniences, owning a swimming pool is easier than owning a car! Pool chemical testing and maintenance, cleaning, and preprogrammed filtration and heating can all be automated. Automatic pool cleaners and various sanitizing devices also make your pool simple to maintain. Your only concern will be finding more time to enjoy your pool or spa!

5. I sometimes see advertisements promising pools at very low prices. Should I consider this option?
It is actually possible to build a pool at a low price. But you should be aware that to build a low cost pool, equipment, structural elements, craftsmanship, and design are all compromised. Besides ending up with a pool that doesn’t fit your property because of improper design, using poor quality construction materials can also put you and your family at risk. The old adage is still true: You get what you pay for.At AQUALUX, we know that the cost difference between a great job and a poor job doesn’t have to be significant. Your AQUALUX professional will work with you to determine a budget that meets your needs. We can custom design your pool to fit your financial parameters, and we’ll also help you secure the appropriate financing. The end result is a beautiful and dependable custom pool that is affordable and within your budget.

6. Why do cost estimates vary so much when the pools seem to be the same?
The price of a pool is determined by much more than just the size and shape of that pool. Unfortunately, many contractors don’t include important factors that affect cost in the actual estimate they give you. This also means that you can get hit with hidden charges after construction has begun. Some important things to consider are:
Quality of Materials
Craftsmanship
Design Expertise
Underground Strength and Durability
Customer Service
Time Required for Construction

Unfortunately this is something that happens with a lot of constructors, where they say that this or that was not included in the proposal. Our experience allows us to evaluate, measure and estimate your project correctly only once.

7. What factors affect the cost of my swimming pool?
