DEHUMIDIFIERS
An indoor swimming pool is first and foremost a marvellous opportunity to enjoy swimming all year round. It is also the aesthetic pleasure of having a pool of water in your own living space; and a meeting place, too, for games, relaxation and health. Well-being and comfort are an integral part of a well designed indoor swimming pool.
The ideal relative humidity for a pool room should be between 60% and 65%. Below 60%, the air is too dry and will be unpleasant to swimmers when they leave the water. Above 70% the air is saturated with water vapour, making the atmosphere uncomfortable.
Dehumidification is not only necessary for comfort, it is also of vital importance to protect the building where the swimming pool is located. High humidity encourages the growth of mould and hence the deterioration of the building.
When you build a swimming pool in an enclosed space, you need to take numerous parameters into account (ventilation, dehumidification, air and water heating, materials, insulation, etc.). If you decide to install an indoor swimming pool, we strongly recommend you to use the services of professionals (swimming pool specialists, architects). We will be happy to supply you with any information you require.
What you need to do...
To reduce evaporation to a minimum, we strongly recommend you to place an insulated cover or roller shutter over the pool. It will allow you to save energy on water heating, air heating and dehumidification. |
